Educational Programming

In our educational programming, we partner with schools, libraries, and community-based organizations to provide an immersive experience as an enrichment tool which supports and strengthens not only city and state learning standards for multiple subjects, but incorporates multiple methods (dance, theatre, music) through the blueprints for teaching and learning in the arts framework.

PodQuest

In this workshop series, kids will team up with peers to complete games and challenges to unlock their inner-podcaster. During these challenges, kids build on their acting, voice and character skills while exploring ancient cultures and ecological hot spots. They flex their journalistic and investigation skills, by uncovering real and fictional facts related to the theme before writing and recording their own original podcast.  By the end of the session, kids will have enjoyed creating an unforgettable performance while learning more about their world!

* For ages 7-11

*Runtime: Program runs for 45 minutes to 1 hour

Bio Hunt

In this workshop series, it’s a science-meets-culture mashup as children embark on a hunt to discover the amazing eco-systems (desert, rainforest, ocean…) that make up our world. Kids will piece together clues, hear native stories from different cultures and create characters and props. In the end of each mission, students will leave with a deeper appreciation for the land and living things on our earth.

Bio Buddies

(Bilingual programming in Spanish, Mandarin, French, and More!)

In this workshop series, children embark on an around-the-globe biome exploration. Each week the group will be introduced to a new eco-system in our world. Then, they’ll get moving and shaking with their buddies with dance, music and sensory games which are connected to the theme. In the final part of the program, they’ll hear native stories from those different cultures acted out in a StoryPlay and performed using puppets and props. Children will leave with a deeper connection with the living thing around them! and each other! each unforgettable journey with a deeper appreciation for the land and the living things on earth.
